Laser Therapy

At T3, we provide the most advanced low-level laser technology (LLT) – the Sunetics G laser– to our patients. This innovative technology increases blood flow to the scalp (where the follicles are). This boosts metabolic activity, resulting in the regeneration of hair follicle activity. In plain speak – when follicles are stimulated, they produce thicker hair.

Laser therapy is FDA-approved for the treatment of hair loss and has no side effects. Our patients from Huntsville, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, and other cities near Birmingham often receive treatment and go right back to work without even having to fix their hair.

Michael S. Beckenstein MD, FACS

Dr. Beckenstein is one of the leading hair preservation and restoration specialists in the South and treats each patient personally. The board-certified plastic surgeon combines exceptional technical skill with a personable demeanor to create a relaxed environment for the men and women concerned about hair loss.

Credentials You Can Trust

LLT is also effective in arresting hair loss with a 90% success rate. It is a great option for younger patients who are not yet candidates for hair replacement. LLT is the best option for women who cannot take hair restoration medications and dislike the wet, greasy appearance of minoxidil (Rogaine®). Additionally, laser therapy aids hair transplantation because it improves graft viability.

There are several laser therapy strategies available to our patients. We offer three, six, and twelve-month options. Bi-weekly sessions are recommended for the first third of treatments, followed treatments once a week for the second third, and once a month for the remainder.
